We all like to talk. When we talk to others we can say how we feel, what is troubling us and what are the exciting things that are happening in our lives. It is just like that when we pray.

Prayer is an essential part of Community Church life whenever we meet together to worship, whether on a Sunday or in our midweek Housegroups or our monthly church prayer meeting. The monthly prayer meeting takes place on the first Wednesday of the month at West Moor Methodist church at 7:30pm.

We believe that God hears and answers prayer. Jesus said ‘if you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you’ and the apostle John said of God ‘This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him’.

Many of us have seen God answer prayers. Once or twice might seem like a coincidence but when it happens often ‘coincidence’ seems like a weak argument. We know God answers prayer. People have been healed, jobs provided, relationships restored, anxieties replaced with peace and many more.

If you have something you’d like us to pray about please contact us via the contacts page or submit your prayer request here with as much information as possible and we will pray for you.
