Community Church Killingworth

Christians Against Poverty Here in Killingworth we're aware of an ever increasing need to help people to deal with debt. We have established a CAP project in the local area (we completed registration earlier in the summer of 2011, appointed and trained a project manager and debt coach and are now working with clients daily) to offer people access to CAP's award winning debt counselling service. We are also regularly running the 'CAP Money - Money Management Made Simple' course and have quite a number of trained Cap Money Coaches which allows us to be flexible in running the course and meeting increased demand.
It's a comprehensive yet astonishingly simple money management course spread over three sessions which helps you get - and then stay - in control of your finances.
Watch the promotional video clip below or visit for more information.
The next course will be running soon. It's takes just three morning, evening or afternoon sessions to complete and has been a huge success with delegates so far. Find out more information and enrol at the CAP Money website, drop us an email at or call Carolyn South on (07751) 011 169.

Coffee mornings. We hold regular coffee mornings, usually at West Moor Community Centre. Various refreshments and cakes are on offer and access to a great play area for kids. Best of all its free! Check the diary for the next one.

CAP Sunday - break the silence. Each year we celebrate and recognise the work we do through our CAP centre. It's a work that has touched and changed the lives of local people trapped in poverty and debt. Since opening a number of our clients are now debt free and others are being supported as they repay their debts. We think thats worth celebrating.

Pamper days for mums-to-be. We know just how much being pregnant can take it out of you and also how much a little time for yourself can help redress the balance. That's why we run our pamper days for mums-to-be. They're completely free of charge and offer you the opportunity to chill out for a while whilst choosing from a small range of treatments.
The most recent day saw over half a dozen ladies visit us in Cygnet Cafe, White Swan Centre, Killingworth.
The next pamper day will take place soon so why not treat yourself and book a place by contacting Denise on 07929 321 871 or dropping us an email at
